Stone built holiday cottage in secluded former farm steading, within walking distance of all village amenities. 2 bedrooms, gas central heating, gas cooker, microwave oven, fridge or fridge/freezer, coffee machine, toaster, electric kettle etc. Colour TV and DVD player. Cot and high chair available if required. Pets welcome. Cottage is clean, comfortable and warm. Outside picnic tables and barbecues, and off-street parking. Belford is within easy reach of the beautiful Northumbrian coast (5 miles to Bamburgh, 8 miles to Holy Island) and the Northumberland National Park (Wooler 8 miles). The Scottish Borders are also close at hand, and there are excellect shopping and travel links within an hour's drive (Edinburgh approx 70 miles and Newcastle 50 miles). Outdoor activities such as climbing, golf, horse riding, canoeing, cycling and walking all on our doorstep. Many places of historical interest and natural beauty, unlimited good clean fresh air and the opportunity to leave the crowds behind.
Prices range from 195 to 500 per week, depending on the size of the cottage and the season of the year. These prices include gas, electricity and bed linen. Additional charges are 20 per week for pets, and 6 per person for towels (optional). Cot/high chair free of charge.
Two small licensed supermarkets open 8 to 10 seven days a week, both within walking distance. ATM, Post Office, chemist, GP and Dental Surgery in the village. Hotel, 2 pubs, community club and golf club (bar and restaurant open to non-members), fish & chip shop, all within walking distance. Many other good restaurants locally. CofE and URC in the village. Horse riding and golf within 2 miles. Beach 5 miles. Railway station Berwick upon Tweed 15 miles.
Indoor swimming pool 13 miles. Alnwick Garden 14 miles. Budle Bay 3 miles. Lindisfarne Nature Reserve 8 miles. Farne Islands boat trips out of Seahouses 8 miles. Northumberland National Park 8 miles. Castles at Alnwick, Bamburgh, Lindisfarne, Chillingham, Dunstanburgh, Warkworth, Kelso (Floors), etc. Country Houses: Paxton, Manderston, Mellerstain, Cragside, Wallington, etc. Hadrian's Wall, Keilder and Beamish Museum within easy reach. Many local fairs, farmers markets etc.
