About Portugal...
On Portugal’s south facing Atlantic coast you will find one of Europe’s favourite vacation destinations, The Algarve. Whilst the Algarve is perhaps the most well known of Portugal’s tourist destinations, there are many areas to visit in this beautiful country, Lisbon, Estoril, Costa Verde, Porto, Costa Prata to mention a few, each with its very own unique pleasure and attractions.
Portugal has some of the best beaches in Europe with something to please everyone; from small coves with spectacular rock formations to long, breath taking sandy beaches swept clean daily by the strong Atlantic tides keeping the water and the beaches clean and clear to enjoy that long awaited swim in the sea, or that long lazy day on the beach. But that is not all there is to Portugal, with golf courses on practically every doorstep, every water sport imaginable and the beautiful countryside, this is a resort for young and old.

The Capitol of Portugal is Lisbon, here you will find a city steeped in history, with many ancient buildings like the fabulous St George’s Castle or the medieval Alfama and Mouraria quarters of this wonderful town. Although steeped in history, Lisbon has many rejuvenated areas of the city, where investment has been on the increase and the many run down areas rejuvenated.
Estoril is further west and a relatively new development compared with Lisbon. Here you will find many attractions such as the new casinos, race track and seven new all year round golf courses. The new race track hosts the Portugese Grand Prix every year.
Weather / Climate in Portugal...
Portugal like most Mediterranean resorts is very hot in summer, with the average maximum temperature around 29º C and in the winter the weather is pleasant and mild with some rain, temperatures usually around 16º C
